In the 1960’s and 1970’s, Artex was known for making high quality cotton and wool knit ties for brands all over the United States.

When fashions changed, we changed our goods – but not our values. Artex focused intensively on the growing market for knit hats and beanies. Growing and expanding, Artex moved to its current 80,000 square foot facility, located in Westville, New Jersey, in 1990.

Artex is proud to manufacture for many leading companies in the workwear, outdoor, industrial and uniform sectors. Among our list of customers are many heritage USA brands like Carhartt, Red Wing Shoes, Wolverine, Filson & Pendleton.

With a variety of knitting machines in operation, we are able to provide our customers with a wide range of knit accessories including beanies, scarves, balaclavas, headbands and neck gaiters. In addition to basic knits, we also offer custom jacquard (flat & circular-knit) as well as in-house embroidery, attaching patches & labels and knitting components such as cuffs, collars and fringes.

We stock yarn from around the world to offer a variety of price points and provide fast turnaround. From blank product to full package private label services, Artex provides our customers with quality headwear at affordable prices.
